Prokofiev’s Sonata No. 4 in C Minor (from old notebooks) was completed in 1917 from earlier sketches. It was dedicated to Prokofiev's late friend, Maximilian Schmidthof, who died by suicide in 1913.
Opus 29 was recorded live at London’s Wigmore Hall as part of Dustin’s first prize award offered by the New Orleans International Piano Competition. Other highlights from this performance were released in August 2024, such as Fauré’s Nocturne No. 6 in D-flat Major, Op. 63.
